  1. My installer will not install GENIE…this is one good reason why this keypad does not work or is difficult to work with GENIE.

Canadian Tire sells Genie in Canada.

Programming was easy. But it does not seem to work with my Genie Intellicode purchased in 1997 or so.

There is no toll free number. I have emailed them by completing a form.

I might have to return the remote.

We have an older Craftsman garage door, and I wasnt sure if it would work or not but it works great. The previous owners of our house had one of these, but didnt know how to reprogram it and had forgotten the code. Installation was pretty easy, it comes with different installation methods depending and make and year produced of you garage door. I had to vary a little from what the instructions said I needed to do, but not much (on a part that had to do with the actual door opener not the clicker).

We have had no problems in a little over a month now, and use it quite a few times a week. An easy no wiring solution that anyone can install and use.

This works for our liftmaster neighborhood gate. It works great, but I’m not sure how it will hold up after getting rained on.

  5. I researched this product before buying and decided that it was the best for my application. I saw the admonition about not working on buildings that were insulated or garage doors that were insulated. Did not pay heed. I found that the remote works well with the exception of the insulation issue. I moved the remote to a location that was not insulated and it works well there. Also the cover is difficult to slide. Needs to be redesigned. Would buy this product again taking what I know into consideration.
